A few days ago, when I blogwalking to other blog, I found interesting post about Technology Transfer Company. You can read that blog post here.

A few minutes ago, I just enough time to open the Technology Transfer Services site that pointed in that blog. I recently know that company actually based from University, name Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HU), locating in Jerussalem, Israel. They name of their service with University Technology Transfer.

As the Technology transfer, Yissum mainly focused in the optimization University’s Intelectual Property they have, protecting their IP research, and commercializing those Intelectual Property.

Taken from their official site, looks that now Yissum already generates about $1 billion just from products they developed base on their Intelectual Property. Now they have, over 200 licensed technologies, about 60 spin off companies, 1,200 researchers, 4 campuses, some of affiliated hospitals, and much more.

In Yissum official site you also can view some products they already do technology transfer to several licensed companies. Drug name such as Exelon, Doxil, Cationorm, Periochip, is several examples in between. Company such as Algen Biopharmaceuticals inc, Atox Bio Inc, Avian Tech Ltd, Intec Pharma Ltd, Kovac Ltd, is only small example of company getting success taking license from Yissum University Technology Transfer.
